Let’s Get Started
Do You Actually Need A New Roof?
Not every old roof needs replacing, and not every leak means a new roof. Signs it’s time: leaks in more than one place, shingles that are curling, cracking or shedding granules into the gutters, soft spots when you walk the decking, or a roof that’s been patched again and again. If a repair will give you good years, we’ll tell you that instead.
How it works: we inspect the roof, the attic where we can, and the details that usually cause trouble: valleys, flashing, vents and drainage. You get a written estimate covering the roof system, the color, how damaged decking is handled, flashing and vent work, and cleanup. We’ll help you choose a color that suits the house and talk through options like impact-resistant shingles; the extras are your call.
Then the old roof comes off and we check the decking. Bad decking is replaced at a set price per sheet, and that price is in your estimate. We try to spot it before tear-off, but some only shows up once the roof is off. Underlayment, new flashing where it’s needed, ventilation and the finished roof go on, and we clean up the yard and driveway and go over the finished roof with you. Many homes are done in a single day.

Step 2
Schedule an Assessment
Tell us about the issue and any active leaks. Our team will arrange an assessment based on your property, access requirements, and availability. Roofing calls are answered 24/7; inspection and work schedules are arranged separately.
Step 3
Estimate & Strategy
All of our inspections come with a free estimate. The estimate will detail expected costs, work that needs to be done, and everything you need to know to make an educated decision. Have questions? We’re here to help you understand your options.
Step 4
Let’s Get To Work!
Before work begins, review the agreed scope, materials, access arrangements, and expected schedule with our team. Project duration depends on the roof, scope, site conditions, and weather.
Step 5
Client Check In
Review the completed scope and any questions with our team. Keep your project documents and the manufacturer and workmanship warranty terms that apply to your roof, including instructions for reporting a concern.
Shingle, Metal Or Low-Slope
Architectural shingles: the most common choice for East Texas homes. We’re Platinum Certified by Atlas Roofing and install Atlas shingles, including the Pinnacle Pristine line. If hail is a concern, ask us about Class 4 impact-resistant shingles.
Metal: standing seam and exposed-fastener panels for homes, shops and barns. Metal costs more up front and lasts a long time if it’s installed right. See metal roofing.
Low-slope and flat: TPO, PVC and other single-ply systems for porches, additions, shops and commercial buildings. See commercial roofing.
Not sure which way to go? Our roofing material comparison walks through the trade-offs.
What Goes Into The Price Of A New Roof
Square footage is only part of it. Hips, valleys, dormers and steep pitches take more material and more time. One old layer or two, and how much decking is bad underneath, change the tear-off. Standard architectural shingles, impact-resistant shingles and metal are priced differently, and chimneys, skylights, vents, ventilation upgrades, drainage fixes and access around the house all play a part. We’ll give you a written price for your roof after we’ve seen it.
Price match: got a written quote from another roofer for the exact same roofing system, product and warranty coverage? We’ll match it or pay you $100. Metal roofs, repairs, gutter-only quotes and quotes missing warranty or scope details don’t qualify.
Financing is available; approval and terms are set by the lender. See financing.
If insurance is involved: if hail or wind damaged your roof, we can inspect it, document the damage and give you a written scope. If you’d like us at the inspection when the adjuster comes, just ask. Your insurance company decides what’s covered, and questions about your policy or deductible go to your agent.

Frequently Asked Questions
What You Need To Know
How long does a roof replacement take?
Many homes are done in one day, from tear-off to cleanup. Larger or steeper roofs, more than one old layer, rotten decking and weather can stretch it to two days or more. We’ll give you a realistic timeline with your estimate and keep you posted if the weather changes the plan.
Do I need to be home during the work?
Not for most of it. We need access to the outside of the house and the driveway, and it helps if cars are parked away from the work area. Inside, it gets loud, and it’s a good idea to take pictures off walls on the top floor. We’ll go over the finished roof with you afterward.
What happens if you find rotten decking?
We replace it at a set price per sheet, listed in your estimate. We try to find bad decking before tear-off, but some of it can’t be seen until the old roof is off. When that happens, we’ll show you what we found and how many sheets it takes before the new roof goes on.
Are impact-resistant shingles worth it?
For a lot of homes, yes. Class 4 impact-resistant shingles cost more than standard shingles and stand up better to hail, and homeowners insurance companies usually offer a discount for them. Ask your agent what yours offers. We’ll quote both so you can compare, and the decision is yours.
